Paving In The Herts Area!

Unlike other 'professional companies' we use all of the proper procedures needed to stop the chances of any lose paving slaps, sinking paving slaps etc..

All foundations are met to a high standard, for example, for most gardens in a home and on a hard, solid ground you should always use a bed of mortar on at least 30-40mm of sharp sand. If however, paving was to be used on a commercial premesis where vehicles will be likely to drive on then at least 30-40mm of compacted sharp sand on 100mm compacted hardcore should be used.

One of the final procedures to your new paving will be the pointing where an eye for detail is critical as nothing is worse than a bad pointing job! We always use, as recommended, small pieces of wood to help get each slab equally distant from one another. When finished we will advise you not to walk on the new paving for at least 24 hours to allow them to fully set.
